After graduating from Baylor University with undergraduate and graduate degrees focused on accounting, finance, and taxation, Greg Taylor began his career as a CPA with Ernst and Whinney, a national (“big eight”) public accounting firm. Building on his specialized tax expertise, he moved into investment banking where he spent his early years involved in debt restructuring and bankruptcy advisement to the exploration and production, and oilfield services industries after the oil bust of the 1980’s. From this work-out and troubled company background he then moved into advising companies regarding mergers and acquisitions in the wake of the leveraged buy-out and junk bonds crises. Greg Taylor then transitioned to advising and investing in the building of businesses through the consolidation of targeted companies in fragmented industries. Along the way he founded, invested in, operated or advised several businesses, both domestically and internationally, typically as a senior management executive. Today Greg Taylor operates to combine strategic initiatives with financial and management best practices to create value and deliver higher than expected returns. In addition, for over 25 years Greg Taylor has been an active participant in foreign and domestic missions and ministries, nonprofit board participation and youth sports volunteerism. In his spare time he enjoys sports, reading and helping people solve problems.
